“Camping has always been a part of lives. My hope is that I can share the joy of camping with my children. I hope they look back in twenty years, the way I do now, thinking about all our adventures. Winning an RV means so much to my family!

Thank you Marcus Lemonis and Camping World for giving us this amazing opportunity! We love our new camper and look forward to many adventures together!”

How Did You Win?

Winning our 2021 Coleman Lantern 17B was surreal! Since the pandemic hit camping, hiking, going for walks & bikes rides are the only outlets my family & I have from being isolated in our home. I am sure a lot of other families can relate. Being outside in nature has been our saving grace!

I will never forget July 3rd, 2020. I saw Marcus Lemonis’ post asking us to tell him why we should win an RV. Since I was just waiting in the car with the children I had a spare few minutes to post why I thought my family deserved a new RV. I included a slide show video of pictures of us camping over the years. That night we were all ready for bed, the lights were out, I thought to myself, “Hmm… I have not looked at my phone all night. I should see if I missed any messages and set my alarm.” Well what do you know? I saw Marcus’ reply to my post and many messages from random folks wishing me congratulations. I turned to my husband and told him the incredible news… I think I just won an RV! We freaked out! The next day Camping World confirmed we won on the 4th of July. An Independence Day we will never forget!

What Does it Mean to You to Have Won an RV?

My husband and I met in 2003 as Camp Counselors at Camp Fernwood Cove in Harrison, Maine. Camping has always been a part of lives. My hope is that I can share the joy of camping with my children. I hope they look back in twenty years, the way I do now, thinking about all our adventures. Winning an RV means so much to my family. I was laid off from my job for twelve weeks this summer May-July, because I am an Event Manager. The event industry has been hit incredibly hard by the pandemic. This year has been rough on everyone and my family is feeling the struggle like most families.

The silver lining is that I still have a brand-new camper! The good news is that even though we have been through A LOT… we still won an RV! What a game changer! Now we will have more opportunities to camp all year round. How amazing is that?!

What RV adventures have you taken this year?

We took our camper out for her maiden voyage over the Labor Day Weekend to Bay Center, Washington near Long Beach. We will be going camping again soon (October 9 – 12, 2020) since the kids have that Friday and Monday off from school that weekend. We will be exploring Ike Kinsaw State Park. We have never been and are excited they had a pull through spot available!

Our long-term goal next summer is to hopefully meet up with Pat and Raechel Fall (my brother-in-law & sister-in-law) somewhere in between New York and Washington. They just won a motorhome from Camping World too! We made a pact (while tirelessly doing the Camping World Concert Series Contest) that if they won we had to make this trip a reality since we both won
